Palmdale – The Antelope Valley Press is the latest media outlet to endorse Assemblyman Scott Wilk, R-Santa Clarita, in the open race for 21st Senate District.
“The AV Press is the newspaper of record in the largest part of the district. Receiving the ‘seal of approval’ from my hometown newspaper is an honor,” stated Wilk.
The Antelope Valley Press joins the Antelope Valley Political Observer, KHTS AM 1220, the Santa Clarita Valley Signal and the Santa Clarita Valley Beacon in endorsing Wilk for Senate.
The editorials have stated:
“Wilk has proven he can navigate around the polarization in Sacramento, working across the aisle by finding solutions both parties can accept. The trust he has built with his peers from both parties has allowed him to have our backs…”
“Wilk has proven he is one of Sacramento’s few legislators who has the respect from both his Republican and Democratic peers. He’s been on top of our environmental issues, from our water crisis, Chloride levels and the Gas leak at Aliso Canyon.”
“Wilk has succeeded at working with Democrats in the Legislature. During his four years in office he co-authored two jobs bills that helped industries in both the Santa Clarita and Antelope valleys.”
“Wilk also is among the leaders in a drive for greater transparency in the statehouse.”
Wilk concluded, “Being vetted by independent, third party organizations and receiving their endorsement is gratifying. I hope their support provides confidence in voters to cast their vote for me.”
